Competition & registration
Welcome to Sundbyberg Curling Club, a true medal factory in Swedish curling.
Located in the northwestern suburbs of Stockholm, just a short walk from Duvbo metro station and Sundbyberg city centre, our rink offers an excellent setting for high-level competition.
With a strong commitment to top-class ice conditions and professional game preparation for every draw, we are proud to welcome 12 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams to compete for a total prize purse of SEK 90,000.
About the event
This tournament is played according to the World Curling Federation rules and applying the five-rock rule as well as the no tick rule.
The event starts Thursday mid-day and finishes with final games and 3rd prize games Sunday afternoon.

Group Stage
Group stage with quarterfinals.
Games will be played over 8 ends. If there is a tie after 8 ends there will be a draw to the button for the win. Team that would have hammer will have choice of first or second draw. Teams can choose same side. No practice draws.
Points for group games:
Win in reg: 3
Win in shootout: 2
Loss in shootout: 1
Loss in reg: 0
(Wins from shootout will rank lower than normal wins)
Playoffs
Total ranked 1-8 teams advance to the quarterfinals. The remaining teams ranked 9-12 will play a consolation game Sunday morning. The winners of the consolation game will get 50% off the entry fee for Sun City Cup in February 2027.

*A confirmation of a spot is binding. Reimbursement or write-off of the entry fee will only be done if another paying team fills that spot. This is due to the increasing number of teams withdrawing from the events.
