Welcome to Sweden's national curling arena in Jönköping, Sweden. We guarantee excellent ice condition, a nice view over the lake Vättern and a curling arena with the latest technology.
This year we are hosting 15 men's and 10 women's teams for a total purse of 96 000 SEK.

Dinner for 4 players is included in entry fee. Additional tickets can be purchased with card payment in the curling arena. The dinner will be held at Scandic Elmia on Saturday evening.

This year we are hosting 15 men's teams and 10 women's teams for a total purse of 96 000 SEK.

About the event
Match Town Trophy will be played at the curling rink in Jonkoping with six sheets.
The tournament is played according to the World Curling Federation rules and applying the five-rock rule as well as the no tick rule.
The first games will be played on Thursday afternoon, approximately 14:00 PM, and the last session with finals will be played on Sunday afternoon. Pre-competition practice will take place before the first games on Thursday.

Group Stage
The women’s teams have 2 groups of 5 teams where group winners advance straight to semifinal. Overall ranked 3-6 go on to the quarterfinals. Quarterfinals: 3rd-6th, 4th-5th.
The men’s teams have 3 groups of 5 teams where top 8 overall advance to the quarter finals.
Ranking procedure: 1) Win/loss record, 2) DSC (excluding the least favourable result).
Pre-game practice, LSD and stone color
20 minutes before scheduled starting time there is 5 min practice per team, where the first team on the schedule plays with blue stones and second team with yellow stones.
At the end of each team's practice, two different players throw draw shots - one clockwise and one counter-clockwise.
This LSD is to decide hammer and later used if internal results isn’t enough to decide playoff-teams. The worst LSD is later removed from results.
Practice and LSD will be announced.
Playoffs
Highest ranked team from the group stage decides hammer or color throughout the playoffs.
12 minutes before scheduled starting time there is 5 min practice per team, where the team with the hammer practice first.

Registration
Last day to register: Augusti 24th 2025
Cancellation after Augusti 24th means full entry fee if no other team takes the team's spot.

Transportation & accomodation
Travel
Closest airport is Jönköping Airport with very limited flights. We recommend you fly to Landvetter, Gothenburg and take the train or bus to Jonkoping. It’s also possible to take the flight to Arlanda and take the train or bus to Jönköping.
Hotel
We recommend Scandic Hotel which is located within ten minutes walk from the curling arena. Scandic Elmia offers discounted prices during the competition (valid 1st-6th October 2025).
