About the event
This is an event part of the newly established Nordic Curling Mixed Doubles Tour. Karlstad is located on the northern shore of Lake Vänern and lies halfway between Oslo and Stockholm.
The event will be played Thursday-Sunday in Karlstad curling club. First game will start around 13 (1pm) Thursday.
More info will be sent out regarding pre-tournament practice.
Group stage & Playoffs
There are 3 groups of 6 teams. Top 8 overall from groupstage proceeds to quarterfinals.
1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5
Hammer or choice of color will follow the highest ranked teams in the playoffs. Ranking is determined by: 1. Wins 2. LSD
Practice & LSD
10 minutes before scheduled starting time there is 5 min practice per team where team first on the schedule plays first with black stones. Team that has had practice plays the clockwise followed by the counter-clockwise LSD.
This LSD is to decide hammer and later used to decide playoff-teams through the overall ranking if other factors are not enough. Two worst LSD:s will be removed.
Practice and LSD will be announced.

Entry fee is 5000,- SEK and is to be paid through webshop or by invoice. Wait for your confirmation before you pay the entry fee.
*Paid entry fee will only be reimbursed if another team takes the spot and pays the entry fee.

Travel
Closest major airport is Oslo Airport approx 2,5 hour by car.
Stockholm Arlanda is 3 hours in car or 3,5-4 hours by train.
Hotel
There are lots of hotels located in the city centre of Karlstad to choose from. There is also a sports-hostel in walking distance from the arena.
