Sundbyberg Open is returning for the 2025 season. The tournament will be played at the Sundbyberg curling rink in Stockholm, Sweden. Men's division will host 8 teams and women's division 16 teams.
As last year, there will be a Saturday social evening at the venue with food and other activities. Food tickets for 4 players are included in the entry fee. Extra tickets can be reserved when registering.

Competition & registration
Welcome to the home of Sweden’s now three best women’s teams, Team Hasselborg, Team Wranå and Team Dryburgh.
The curling rink is in the northwest suburban of Stockholm City, Sweden near Duvbo metro station and Sundbyberg City center.
Focusing on giving the teams the best ice quality and game preparation possible at every game we are hosting 16 women’s teams and 8 men’s teams for a total purse of 80 000 SEK.
About the event
The tournament is played according to the World Curling Federation rules and applying the five-rock rule as well as the no tick rule.
The event starts Thursday mid-day and finishes with final games Sunday early afternoon. No 3rd prize games. Practice before the tournament will take place at Thursday morning. There is 2 open practices;
Practice 1 is for teams in groups A-C and is from 0830-0930.
Practice 2 is for teams in groups D-F and is from 1000-1100.

Group Stage
Games are played in 8 ends. If the game is tied after 8 ends there is an extra end. The extra end is to be played against the home end for the audience to see.
Show up and be ready to start 10 minutes before scheduled starting time for 5 minute practice then a 2-stone LSD to determine the hammer and also DSC-average for the ranking (excluding the least favorable result). Teams are free to choose 2 players of their own who makes the draws. First draw is CW and second draw is CCW. Practice and LSD will be announced.
Playoffs
Women will have 4 groupwinners going straight to semis. Total ranked 5-12 womens teams will play a qualifyer game for the spot in the quarterfinals. The remaining total ranked 13-16 will play a consolation game.
Mens division will have 2 groupwinners straight to semis and total ranked 3-6 play quarterfinals. 7th and 8th ranked teams in mens division are out.

*A confirmation of a spot is binding. Reimbursement or write-off of the entry fee will only be done if another paying team fills that spot. This is due to the increasing number of teams withdrawing from the events.
