About the event

This is an event created for the newly established Nordic Curling Mixed Doubles Tour. Uppsala is located ideally just 30 minutes north of Stockholm main airport Arlanda.

The event will be played Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th of December in Uppsala curlingclub.First game will start around 13 (1pm) Thursday.

More info will be sent out regarding pre-tournament practice.

There will be open practice (no need to book, play on the sheet you want) on Thursday morning 09-11.

Group stage & Playoffs

There are 3 groups of 6 teams. Top 8 overall* from groupstage proceeds to quarterfinals.

1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5

*Note. If there are some empty spots in one or more of the groups there will be partly group-based ranking and this is the ranking procedures for the playoffs:

- Full group - 3 best teams from group proceeds to QF 

- Groups with empty spot - 2 best teams from groups proceed  to QF

- (If any remaining spot for the QF is available these will be between the teams ranked below top 2 in the non-full groups but with best record)

Hammer or choice of color will follow the highest ranked teams in the playoffs. Ranking is determined by: 1. Wins 2. LSD

Practice & LSD

At appointed time in schedule there is 5 min practice per team where team first on the schedule plays first with black stones. Team that has had practice plays the clockwise followed by the counter-clockwise LSD.

This LSD is to decide hammer and later used to decide playoff-teams through the overall ranking if other factors are not enough. The worst LSD:s will be removed.

Practice and LSD will be announced.

Payment

Entry fee is 6000,- SEK (excl 6% VAT) and is to be paid through webshop or by invoice. The local commitee will arrange a dinner on Friday that is included in the entry fee. Wait for your confirmation before you pay the entry fee.

*Paid entry fee will only be reimbursed if another team takes the spot and pays the entry fee.
